Earth Day 2026

What a great day to promote my book!

During my time away so many things happened personally and to our World.

I had big surgeries which were hard to recoup from, lost my parents a year apart, and we all dealt with the Covid viruses.

The Earth began to have her own issues which are due in part to Global warming and honestly it does not take a scientist to see what is happening. How many times in just the last few years have we heard the phrases “never before seen”, “record setting” etc when it comes to temperatures, weather and environments.

Some of the animal stories were just to sad for me knowing so much was due to humans and excessive destruction of this beautiful planet. The shutdown and a pandemic for another reminder too.

It made me angry and so I thought to myself what would Mother Nature and Mother Earth say about this. So I began to write down, mostly to help myself vent what I think it sounded like. Now in 2026 I decided to turn it into a book as my contribution to wanting to help the planet. So today it is ready and I am going to share the link to Amazon but it is also available in many other domains.

My hopes are we can all come together, all over the world and save this beautiful planet that gives us everything we need. Lets try harder !

We’re still here !

It has been quite a while since the last update of my nature buddies. Life has a way of moving your path and time gets away. We all were delt a Epidemic that seems to have changed all of lives in one way or another. While I didn’t post the events our little corner of forest continued and evolved. I did write to help with the frustrations of the time and decided recently to go ahead and make it into a book. I wanted to have a finished product, check off a bucket list item. It is almost published and I will link to it when its ready.

Here in the forest most of the usuals are still here minus some. For one, Woody and Momma have continued their family tradition of daily visits. I am on later generation but it’s obvious engrained enough now with them that they have no fear, they announce their arrival and later this summer will bring in the year’s babies. It is still such a privilege.

The ducks have moved to a better pond, we had bad fires in 2021 and for some reason a young sharp shinned hawk to a liking to my backyard and our sprinklers. During his 2 week stay it seems some took it as evacuation time and have never returned.

I look forward to adding more stories soon. Thanks for visiting.
